Fishing Report for Week of 6/19/2017

June 19, 2017 0 Comments

Flows still remain high on the North Fork of the Stanislaus river, but with all of the heat this week melting the snow up top, flows should start to come down soon.

Lake alpine is now completely thawed out and fish are being caught using Wooly Buggers and other streamers.  Access to the East end of the lake is still closed.

Beaver Creek has been producing some fish in the Big Trees State Park and there are still some fish being caught out of White Pines lake over the weekend.  Prince nymphs have been working well.

While with all the water, we are getting a late start, as flows continue to improve, it should be great for fishing this summer and fall.

Make sure to check with the Forestry service for road closures as there are still many that remained closed.
