This is the first report of the season.
Fishing on White Pines lake was excellent this weekend, with good numbers being caught on the fly. Prince nymphs and Buggers were the go to fly.
Lake Alpine is finally fishing with most of the lake iced off. Some fish are being caught with some good sized hold overs from last year. This should only improves as the weather warms.
Angles Creek was planted last week as well.
The road to Spicer Reservoir remains closed at this time, but Ebbets Pass is open, which should open up more fishing spots in the area.
The North Fork of the Stanislaus is starting to fish. Midge patterns have been working and there has been a lot of flying ant activity as well.
Indian Creek Reservoir as well as Markleeville Creek was planted this past week also.
Keep checking back for more updates. Good Fishing!!!
