TFO Axiom II Fly Rod

Temple Fork Outfitters

TF 05 90 4 A2

Description Medium Fast | Freshwater | Saltwater

Engineered to fit the angler (not the other way around), the TFO Axiom II Fly Rod offers the optimization of the three-dimensional approach to casting a fly, hooking a fish and landing it.

The engineering and materials in the Axiom II rod satisfy the broadest range of casting styles and strokes. Whether short and powerful or long and smooth, the rod will accept the caster without the need to adapt stroke to rod action.

The A2 design is the most efficient energy delivery tool that our legendary Advisory Staff designers have tested to date. Easy to load, (bend) and quick in unloading, which also ensures accurate and true tracking. No bounce, shock and no wobble on the stop – A2 rods are smooth and efficient casting tools.

The last and possibly most gratifying job a rod has is to bring the fish to hand so you can capture the “Kodak,” moment for all times. Fly rods offer the angler a range of options based on the butt angle to the fish. At or near 90-degrees to the fish’s pull, a rod is a long shock absorber that helps protect lighter tippet. At 45-degrees, the effective lever shortens and the bottom half of the rod now has bend, has more power and allows you to put more pressure on a fish. Heavy tippet and big strong fish allow for fighting angles that are very slight – think 15 to 25-degrees. The bend or load is now down in the butt – in the most powerful part of the rod. The A2 design accommodates all three and lets you choose how and when to apply pressure.

ROD REPAIRS

We know how awful it is to break your favorite fishing rod (we’ve been there). The TFO no-fault lifetime warranty is intended to provide our anglerscomplete confidence that if a TFO product is broken for any reason, there’s a solution to get them back on the water quickly and without hassles.

Every TFO fishing rod is built in our exclusive facility – never in someone else’s factory and never with somebody else’s rods – which assures us (and our anglers) extreme consistency and reliability.  And because we understand the quality TFO anglers demand, we take the extra step of test-loading 100% of our fishing rods before they’re ever shipped. Doing so allows us to confidently provide the best warranty in the industry.  Fishing rods do get broken, but we work hard to ensure that it’s not due to workmanship or manufacturing issues.

We will candidly answer questions about why a fishing rod broke and we’ll tell you if we don’t know. It may also be helpful to refer to Tom Kirkman’s article, Rod Failure (RodMaker Magazine). It’s usually not difficult to determine why a fishing rod unfortunately broke and this is a fantastic analysis discussing the differences between damaged and defective rod failures.

TFO will always repair or replace (at no cost to the customer) any product damaged due to faulty workmanship or manufacturing defects. TFO’s no-fault lifetime warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidents, abuse or broken guides; however, for a fee TFO does provide thorough and timely product repairs.
