Troutmaps for the Arkansas River cover the river from its source to Cañon City, plus the Pueblo Reservior Tailwater. The source south is a wading river, which then becomes a narrow floating river over class 3 to 4 rapids. The river rapids continue to Salida. From Salida to Cañon City is premier fly fishing water by wading or floating, with only a few rapids. The Pueblo Reservior Tailwater is a small area, for good sized trout.
